Dangerous to Watch Latenight TBN

Here's a CNN story on Don Miller, who wrote Blue Like Jazz (one of my top 9 or so favorite books in the last couple of years). He cracks me up. My favorite quote of the article...

Watching TBN one night on TV, Miller, 36, realized the conservative religious network was many people's baseline for Christianity. He wanted to change that.

"These people are absurd. I've been a Christian all my life and I don't even know Christians this weird," said the Portland, Oregon-based writer, who is single.

Funny how they stick the "who is single" part in there.

Also did you read that they are going to make a movie out of the book ... according to his site he teamed up with Steve Taylor and Ben Pearson to write the screenplay which will be filmed in Portland this spring.

Don't even get me started on TBN. For me, they are as christian as scientology or the taliban for that matter.
I used to have terrible nightmares as a teen when they would preach on the world ending garbage. The Los Angeles Times exposed Paul Crouch a few years ago and it revealed that he was having an affair with a younger man, and misused funds. He very quietly stepped down from TBN and his 2 sons took over. Yes...pray for these people, they are pathetic. Thank God, I was introduced to real Christianity a few years later.

well, i suppose we're all pathetic in our own way but yeah, they do some strange things.

I went to Costco today and I saw two TBN license plate holders in the parking lot. Is God trying to tell me something? Did he not like my comments? Shall I repent? What channel is TBN on? Where is the remote...shall I send a love gift? Do I make out the check to Benny Hinn or TBN?
